Saturday Classes

Fundamentals class went well, although I'm still feeling like I need to tweak my yapping-to-technique-display ratio. If I'm going to go off on a philosophical tangent, I want to do it before I show the actual technique. I find that I'm showing the first part of a technique, doing lots of yapping, showing the second part, more somewhat yapping, etc. I want to keep the display of the technique concise enough that the different parts flow together.

Jason (b) taught the noon class and went over guard opening and passing, but had several different takes on it. One of them involved stuffing one of the guard player's arms under their back, which is very effective and mega annoying for the guard player. I might pursue it, except that I absolutely despise when other people do it to me.

Rolled with Kevin, Rachael and Joyce. I think I rolled with Rachael twice. Nothing especially memorable about the rolls, except that I absolutely love seeing Joyce use techniques that I've taught. Very gratifying.
